    Health

YUCK: I have been a good girl and taking all my vitamins and supplements….even-though they make me physically ill. Nausea. Yuck. UGH

IBS: Having severe stomach issues all week. Still not feeling well.

WOW: Went clothes shopping twice this week. I got rid of tons of my clothes that were way too large on me now. I got a bunch of dresses, skirts, shirts, etc. all for 75% off. I passed by a mirror at Kohls and freaked out by how small I am starting to look. Wearing 12 and 14′s now. I even wore a mini-skirt shopping today! been over 17 years since I wore a skirt that short. Legs look fab although very pale.

FLABBY: My body is not too flabby… I guess that is a blessing from slow weight loss. I do have some flab on my inner thighs and my boobs are a lil saggy.

WEIGHT: I am only 12 lbs away from being under 200 lbs. I did get a few pounds under 200… some 16 years ago… I was 198 lbs when I last saw Bret Michaels and Poison. I had several photographers wanting me to pose for them at that show. I declined. My waist back then was 30″. I have not been brave enough to measure my waist the past few months… may do it tomorrow.

    I remember being 10 years old…. maybe 11 and weighing 199 lbs.

Always the fattest girl at school and came home sulking, crying, bawling at being treated differently due to my appearance.

    NO MORE TEARS !

In the 7th grade I weighed 236 and in the 8th I was up to 242.When I was 18 I was up to 256 lbs.I dropped down to 200lbs when I was 25 and then slowly gained up to 315lbs (January 2009)

    Today I weigh 211 lbs.

FUTURE: I truly hope to be under 200 by Sept 14th. Surgeon originally told me he doubted I would go under 200… I have the Lord on my side and with Him anything is possible.

My goal is to be 175lbs…. only 36lbs away from that now. Would love to be able to wear a size 8-10.

I currently can wear size 12 jeans that are stretchy denim with lycra but if they are zipper or button up I require a size 16. Some of my new dresses are a large. Wow from a 3x  down to a large. SMILING.

I am gonna do my best to get down to 150 by  March 2011.

JOHN: Been neglecting him. Sorry  that I have and promise to be more attentive from now on. He is such a dear and special friend to me. Blessed.

FOOD: Being cooking much more than I used to. Grilling out 3-4 days a week. Getting in my required protein is difficult some days when I have so much nausea that I cant eat much. Been restricting carbs. Sugar has been excellent. Had to lower my insulin pump. Last month. I was taking 35-65 units daily.. I am now down to 15-20 units and have even better control now.

HAIR: My hair is growing back in quickly. Seems curlier as well. Praise Jesus.

TOMORROW: Will prolly take Smoki for a drive. I am gonna make sure I am home to see John tomorrow. Was late 4 times this week. Was either having a cookout or napping.

BEDTIME: Gotta go find me a snack prior to bed. Will prolly be mozzarella cheese sticks and crackers. Smoki, Tater, and Jazzi all love to snack on those with me.

PRAYERS: Sending love and prayers to all.

    GOD BLESS YOU,

    Angela

Bret Michaels, Survivor, Tells His Tale to Jay Leno

These have been some harrowing days for Bret Michaels, the rock musician and reality television star: since the end of April, he has had an emergency appendectomy, a hemorrhage near his brain, a transient ischemic attack (or mini-stroke) and learned he had a small hole in his heart. But now he’s reveling in his victory on “The Celebrity Apprentice,” and on Tuesday night he vowed to Jay Leno that he would not die on his program.

In an interview on “The Tonight Show” a remarkably chipper Mr. Michaels recounted for Mr. Leno the horrific month he has had, and shared photographs from a recent hospital stay (during which, yes, he was still wearing his trademark bandanna). “I’m not going out on your show,” Mr. Michaels told Mr. Leno, even though, he said, “I know it would make good TV.”

Mr. Michaels said in the interview that he would have surgery in the fall to plug the hole in his heart. In the meantime he was evidently feeling well enough to plug his new flavor of Snapple, Trop-A-Rocka, in the second half of the segment, which appears below.

Bret Michaels Video Taken today May 22, 2010 Update

Bret Michaels says he’s at 75% these days — which, considering all he’s gone through over the past few months, is about 1,000% better than we would have expected.

Outside his home in AZ, Michaels said he’ll see how he’s feeling over the weekend, but for now he plans to be in NYC on Sunday for the finale of “The Celebrity Apprentice.”

If you’re rooting for Holly Robinson Peete to beat Bret … you’re probably not a fan of snow on Christmas morning.

    My prayers

For Prissy: Health and that she gets to come home tomorrow from the Vet

    For Rebecca: Peace and Freedom

    For Bret: Health and Healing

    For Jorja and Raine: Assurance

    For Brandy: Serenity and Confidence

For Rosie and Dad: Health and to Live a Long life

BRET MICHAELS, BACK IN HOSPITAL AFTER SUFFERING WARNING STROKE

CELEBRITY APPRENTICE FINALIST, BRET MICHAELS, BACK IN HOSPITAL AFTER SUFFERING WARNING STROKE KNOWN AS A TRANSIENT ISCHEMIC ATTACK (TIA)
RECEIVES DEVASTATING NEWS AS TESTS SHOW HE HAS A HOLE IN HIS HEART OR PATENT FORAMEN OVALE (PFO)
Bret Michaels was readmitted to the hospital this week after suffering numbness on the left side of his body, predominately his face and hands which doctors described as a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA) or warning stroke. While MRI and CT scan tests were being conducted, Michaels also received a Doppler Ultrasound of his legs and lower abdomen looking for blood clots and most importantly an Ultrasound Bubble Test of his heart was conducted which proved positive for a Patent Forum Ovale (PFO), a hole in the heart. Dr. Zabramski (Bret’s neurosurgeon), Dr. Becker (who ordered the test), Dr. Cook (who conducted the test) and Dr. Frey (Director, Outpatient Stroke Program) all confirmed the results.
Dr. Zabramski states “There is no doubt that the positive Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) is devastating news to Bret and his family. The good news is that it is operable and treatable and we think we may have diagnosed the problem that caused the Transient Ischemic Attach (TIA) or warning stroke; however we feel it is highly unlikely this is connected to the brain hemorrhage he suffered just a few weeks earlier. Once again it is great that he quickly reacted to the severe numbness and got to the hospital immediately.”
Dr. Zabramski continues, “I realize Bret wants to make a full recovery so that he can be active with his family, attempt to attend the finale of Celebrity Apprentice and especially get back on the road to continue making music. Without a doubt he is very determined to get healthy and make a 100% recovery. Medically speaking it is a fantastic attitude both mentally and physically for him to have. However, Bret’s brain and body are not quite 100% yet, especially with the hole found in his heart. Further tests will be conducted throughout the week and I will have more information next week as to how this Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) will be treated. For now, Bret will be treated with outpatient care which includes a daily injection of Lovenox (a blood thinner to reduce the chance of blood clots) and blood tests.”

Bret’s rep, Janna Elias, states “Bret wants everyone to know he cannot thank you enough for all of the well wishes, prayers, and good vibes you have sent his way. Even though these last few months have been tough on him and his family, especially this most recent setback, he is in good spirits, great medical hands and is positive and hopeful that everything is going to be OK. He is up, walking, talking, continuing his daily rehab and very happy to be alive but he has made it clear he is sick and tired of being in the hospital and is ready to rock again.”

    UPDATES

    http://www.Bret-Michaels.com has been updated.

    Bedtime

Almost 5 am and time to hot the sack.

Having pain in  my legs, arms and back.

    Pray that I can sleep.

Seems I can take Trazodone and  sleep 3 hours. Then I am Awake 3 hours. Take another Trazodone and sleep 3 hours.I can take a total of 150 mg of trazodone. Sometimes I only take 12.5 each time. I have tried 150 mg at once and still can only sleep 3 hours. If I wake up around 10-11 am and I haven’t slept I am afraid to take more than 25 mg since Trazodone knocks me out!

I don’t wanna sleep all morning into the late  afternoon and be up all night .. but alas that is what has been transpiring.

Pray that I can regulate my sleep patterns.

    Good Night and Sweet Dreams.

Prayers to all those who suffer form Insomnia or hypersomnia. A few days last week I slept 12 hours. TWELVE!

    God Bless,

    Angela
